Ghana’s Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah‑Kofi Buah, opened Day Two with a strong call for regional and continental integration, positioning coordinated policy and shared infrastructure as the key to Africa’s mining future.
Panels reframed Africa’s mineral wealth as strategic currency, focusing on practical ways governments, companies, and communities can convert geological advantage into long‑term economic and social value.
The premier of the World’s Deepest Marathon, showed runners complete a marathon in Sweden’s Garpenberg mine, showcasing innovation, teamwork, as well as the industry’s efforts to reshape how mining is experienced and understood and the potential of a mine beyond its “life”.
At the Angola Mining Business Forum, speakers underscored partnership as the catalyst for unlocking the country’s significant untapped mineral potential, echoing the day’s overarching theme: geology creates opportunity; partnership turns it into progress.
Across all sessions, from critical minerals to country showcases, the message was clear: collaboration will determine Africa’s ability to strengthen its position in global supply chains and retain more value across the mining lifecycle.
