Nunzia Bernardo holds a master's degree in geology and applied geology. She starts her career in 2016 at the Directorate Geneal for Hydrocarbons and Georesources at the Ministry of Economic Development where she oversees the Dossiers related to hydrocarbons, geothermal and raw materials. Then she moves into applied research where she deals with the management and implementation of applied research projects on integrated energy systems. Projects focused on the integration of georesources into energy systems (hydrocarbons, geothermal energy, CRM, strategic storage) and the resilience of the energy system to extreme natural phenomena (hydrogeological-hydraulic risk; seismic risk). Since 2023 she works at Technical Secretariat of the Italian Minister of the Environment and Energy Security where she oversees the Dossier Related to energy security, focusing on critical Raw Materials and geothermal energy at the national, European and international level (specifically referring to G7, G20, Mattei Plan For Africa, etc).
