Memia Fendri oversees the Resilient and Sustainable Value Chains portfolio at the World Economic Forum’s Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains. In her role, she engages senior operations executives, policymakers and academics worldwide to shed light on the latest trends impacting the sector and develop global insights and frameworks that can help companies and governments navigate shifts impacting global value chains for a positive economic, societal and environmental impact. This includes the codification of best-practice industrial policies supporting countries’ industrial development and ability to provide a favourable environment for manufacturing and supply chains, as well as leading private sector strategies to enhance value chains resilience and decarbonization. Previously, she worked at Novartis across various engineering roles globally. Memia holds an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Swiss Institute of Technology (EPFL) with trainings and research at Carnegie Mellon University and University of California Berkeley.
