Diawadou has accumulated more than 21 years of professional experience, with 20 years dedicated to banking. He joined Ecobank in February 2011 as Regional Head of Treasury for French-speaking countries, a role he held until February 2012 when he transitioned to Regional Head of Treasury for the UEMOA zone. From January 2014 to October 2016, he served as Senior Group Manager Treasury Sales, overseeing operations across 34 subsidiaries. Later, he advanced to Regional Head of Treasury for the International zone while continuing his responsibilities as Senior Group Manager Treasury Sales, based in France. Diawadou maintained these posts until August 2019, after which he became Managing Director of Ecobank’s subsidiary in Guinea. Prior to his career at Ecobank, Diawadou worked at UBA from 2009 to 2011 as Regional Head of Treasury for French-speaking countries. He started his banking journey at Citibank, beginning as a Treasury Sales Officer and later working as Corporate Account Manager for Multinationals between 2005 and October 2007. Diawadou holds Master’s degrees—in Finance and Economics and Management—from the University of Reims in France. He also possesses AMF certification from the Financial Markets Authority in France and is an alumnus of McKinsey’s Executive Leadership Program.
