David Renwick is the Global Head of Investment Banking Division, ABSA Corporate Investment Bank: a business unit which provides solutions, to the Bank’s pan African client base, across Financing, Capital Raising and Corporate Finance. The team holds a leading market position in Resource & Project Finance, Structured Finance, capital raising and cross border transactions. Additional current Pan African mandates include building out the Group’s Sustainable Financing Strategy and responsibility for credit portfolio restructuring. His previous appointment was at Standard Bank where he was Head of Diversified Lending and Leverage. Prior responsibilities covered a number of investment banking product areas including Leverage and Acquisition Finance activities, Structured Trade and Commodity Finance and developing Standard Bank’s mezzanine finance portfolio. Prior to joining Standard Bank, he spent seven years at Investec Bank across their SA and UK platform. David holds a B.Com Hons (Finance) from the University of the Witwatersrand.
