Dave brings a wealth of experience and is a recognised leader with 30 years in the mining industry across mining companies, suppliers, and consultancies, including six years as a senior industry expert for McKinsey & Company. He serves on several mining industry organisations, including SME (Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration) Foundation Board of Trustees. Dave has an extensive background in product development, innovation and strategy, particularly in the areas of digital transformation, automated and autonomous mining. He previously served as a key advisor to Newmont on operations technologies before initially joining Hexagon in 2012 as Director of Autonomous Mining. In the years that followed, he joined McKinsey & Company as a senior industry expert before returning again to Hexagon as Chief Product Officer in 2023. Today, he provides strategic direction to ensure Hexagon continues delivering cutting-edge solutions that address the real-life challenges facing mines.
