Aboubacar is a Mining Segment Technical Expert for Africa at TotalEnergies SE, with more than 30 years of experience bridging the oil and gas sector and mining operations. A graduate of École des Mines de Nancy (France) in Mining Engineering and Computer Science, Aboubacar began his career modernizing Niger’s geological database before a stint at ExxonMobil, leading international projects in fuels and lubricants engineering and delivering technical services to mining and heavy industries. His expertise spans fuels and lubricants engineering, HSE integration, and energy efficiency strategies, helping mining companies optimize equipment performance, manage contamination, and reduce operational costs. Having led blending plants in West and Central Africa, he also brings deep knowledge of lubricants formulation and supply chain management. Throughout his career, Aboubacar has been advising mining clients globally on how innovation can enhance productivity, sustainability, and reliability.
